Days 1 & 2: Goodbye Cyprus, hello Iceland! Getting to know Reykjavík.
We depart from Larnaca airport at night (03:35am) on Saturday, 24th October with Swiss Airlines and after a layover in Zurich, land at Iceland’s Kefklavik airport at around 14:00 lunchtime.
Private airport pick-up will be waiting to take us to our hotel in downtown Reykjavik, where we will check-in and sleep.
That afternoon and the following day are both free to explore Iceland’s vibrant capital city. Walk Reykjavik’s colorful streets, see the unique Hallgrímskirkja church, stroll around the Old Harbor for panoramic views and to admire the incredible Harpa Concert Hall and the famous Sun Voyager sculpture and grab a street hot dog – one of Iceland’s must-do experiences – or enjoy dinner at one of Reykjavík’s many acclaimed restaurants.
For those who want, there will also be an additional, optional whale watching activity available on day 2.
Day 3: Snæfellsnes Peninsula
After our hotel breakfast, we head northwest to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, often called “Iceland in Miniature” for its diverse landscapes. Visit Arnarstapi’s coastal cliffs, explore the black-pebble beach at Djúpalónssandur, and admire the iconic Kirkjufell mountain and waterfall. End the day with scenic coastal views, before we return to our hotel in Reykjavik for dinner and to rest, before our South Coast adventure begins the following morning.
Accommodation (3 nights): Storm Hotel, Reykjavik or similar (3-star hotel)
Day 4: The Golden Circle
Discover Iceland’s most famous route. Stop at Þingvellir National Park, where tectonic plates drift apart, have lunch at Friðheimar’s greenhouse restaurant, where tomatoes are grown year-round, and then continue to the geothermal area of Geysir, where Strokkur erupts every few minutes. We finish at the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, before driving south to Hella, where we will be staying for the night.
Accommodation: Loa’s Nest or similar (3-star hotel)
Day 5: South Coast Tour
Start exploring the south coast’s dramatic landscapes. Visit two of Iceland’s most spectacular waterfalls; Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, gape at the jaw-dropping cliffs and lighthouse of Dyrhólaey and walk the famous, black sand beach of Reynisfjara with its incredible, basalt sea stacks. For those who choose to, the day can be capped off with a surreal, hike on nearby Solheimajokull Glacier (optional activity).
Accommodation: Loa’s Nest or similar (3-star hotel)
Day 6: Diamond Beach, Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Ice Adventure
Travel to one of Iceland’s most breathtaking regions. Watch luminous icebergs drift across Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, then cross the road to Diamond Beach, where crystal-like chunks of ice sparkle on the black sand. Finish off with an ice cave tour for a truly unforgettable adventure (optional activity).
Accommodation: Hotel Klaustur (Kirkjubæjarklaustur) or similar.
Day 7: Return to Reykjavík and Blue Lagoon
Today we begin our drive back toward Reykjavík, stopping to enjoy Iceland’s natural beauty at a few final stops along the way.
Upon returning to the capital, we will cap off what will have been a memorable but challenging trip, with a chance to unwind at the world-famous Blue Lagoon for a rejuvenating geothermal soak—perfect before checking-in to our hotel and heading out for our final goodbye dinner in Iceland’s colorful capital.
Accommodation (1 night): Storm Hotel, Reykjavik (3-star hotel) or similar
Day 8: Departure from Iceland and return home
After another wholesome Icelandic breakfast, whoever wants will have a few hours for some final souvenir shopping, before a private transfer takes us to Keflavik Airport where our Swiss Air flight departs at 14:20. After another layover in Zurich, we land in Cyprus on Sunday, 1st of November at 3:00 am, with more than enough time to sleep in, rest, enjoy our Sunday and reminisce about what will have undoubtedly been a once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Is this trip for me?
This trip is for people who like adventure and who like to have fun and to make new friends. It will be a unique experience in one of the world’s most fulfilling destinations! We have no doubts that if you come with a relaxed and positive mindset, you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!
It is important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and as such, there is always an element of the unexpected. Traveling in Iceland is not like staying at the Hilton in London… a lot can happen, from the water in the hotel smelling of sulphur (a typical occurrence in the Land of Ice and Fire), to the food not being as good as your mother’s, to coming across unfamiliar situations…
But it’s good that things are different, otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth leaving home. Also, good weather is unfortunately not a guarantee in a rough, cold climate like Iceland’s. It can be raining one minute and snowing the next…
It is also important that you know that there may be changes in the itinerary, if we deem it necessary due to unexpected weather. After all, what kind of a trip would it be without some adventure?
If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you pass this information on to them. We want to make sure that everyone who comes along is aware of what to expect and that they join us with the right, adventurous mind frame that will create a healthy group dynamic!
What kind of rooms are we staying in?
We will be staying in twin rooms in 3 and 4 star hotels in both Reykjavik and in the Icelandic countryside.
If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler of the same gender.
If you are traveling as a couple, rest assured that you will get your own private room together.
What if I want a single room?
This is not something we offer on this particular trip, due to the high expenses involved.
Is international airfare provided?
Yes, Roady will arrange your return airfare from Cyprus to Iceland (via Zurich), with Swiss Airlines (23 kgs permitted).
Can I go alone?
Of course! Most of our travelers sign up individually. They go to Iceland alone and come back with 10 new friends.
Who will I share my journey with?
You’ll spend the trip with our tour leader, Tatiana. You’ll also spend all the days with other travelers who have many things in common with you, like a passion for traveling, for adventure, for discovery … and who are looking for new emotions and unforgettable moments on this trip. We normally have travelers from anywhere between 28 to 50 years old and we can assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you’ll end the trip with a new group of friends.
What is the exact number of travelers in the group?
It depends on the demand for that specific tour, but minimum 9 and maximum 14.
Is the group of travelers flying together?
Yes, as Roady will be arranging all your flights from Cyprus to Iceland and back.
How do we meet at the airport?
We’ll take the data of all travelers and coordinate beforehand using WhatsApp so that we can arrange to share a ride to Larnaca airport, or to just meet there before flight departure.
Is there an age requirement?
You must be 23 years old or older. However, we try to put together a group, where we feel similar interests will be held. That is to say, similar age groups and dynamics. As a result, we personally speak to all potential travelers to make sure that they fit in with the environment that we wish to create.
Do I need to take any specific equipment?
No, no special equipment is necessary, though hiking shoes would be useful and you will also want to take a thick, waterproof jacket and plenty of winter clothes to keep you warm.
But don’t worry about any of that now! We at Roady, will be sending you a recommended packing list several weeks before departure to help you plan ahead.
Will I have any time for myself?
Of course! We hate tours that book every minute of your day. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time to rest and disconnect.
Why are some of the meals not included?
Iceland is an extremely expensive country and so we like to give our travelers the chance to keep their costs as low as possible. For this reason, on some nights, where our accommodation allows it, whoever wants will also have the chance to stay in and cook. We believe that this helps bring the group closer and is always a very fun experience! But of course, for whoever prefers to eat out every night, this is also an option and there will always be restaurants to cater for everyone’s needs nearby.
How many spots can I book at one time for the tour?
As many as you want. The maximum number of travelers is 14.
Can I save spots?
No, spots are only effectively reserved after payment.
Any doubts?
If you still have doubts, send us an e-mail at: hello@roadytravel.com
What will the weather be like in Iceland?
The weather in Iceland in late October is a transition from autumn to winter, meaning it will still be cold and unpredictable, with temperatures averaging between 2 and 7 degrees and occasionally even dropping to zero.
You can expect a mix of snow, rain, and wind and we should be getting around 8 or 9 hours of daylight a day. On the flip side, less daylight hours means more chances of seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), which we find is always a very fair trade off.
Will I definitely get to see the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)?
October is considered a good month to see the Northern Lights in Iceland as it offers good viewing conditions with long, dark nights. It’s considered one of the best times, which can lead to more intense displays because there are still enough dark hours for viewing.
That said, you must keep in mind that this a natural phenomenon and as a result, it is not something that can be guaranteed under any circumstances. We will of course keep updated with the weather forecast and our expert local driver will do their best to help us be at the right place at the right time.
Let’s keep those fingers crossed and hope we get lucky!
