Trip Dates: Saturday, 4th April – Saturday, 18th April

Welcome to a land of ancient wonders and breathtaking beauty. Over 14 unforgettable days, you’ll journey through Peru’s diverse landscapes, vibrant traditions, and timeless spirit. From majestic peaks to hidden valleys and colorful local life, every moment reveals a new layer of this extraordinary country — a journey that connects you to the heart and soul of South America.

Itinerary

Day 1: 4th April – Leaving Larnaca, pit stopping in Madrid and arriving in Lima!

We depart from Larnaca airport very early on the morning (03:05) of Saturday, 4th April on a Lufthansa flight and after a short layover in Frankfurt, arrive in Madrid at 12:25 at lunch time. After picking up and storing our luggage at the airport, we will have a free afternoon to walk around the Spanish capital, grab a bite to eat and enjoy Madrid’s parks and cafes, before returning to the airport for our direct night flight (23:45) with Air Europa to Lima.

Day 2: 5th April – Arriving in Peru and free day to settle in.
Land in Lima in the early hours (04:25) of Sunday, 5th April. Private airport pick-up will be waiting to take us to our hotel in the colourful neighbourhood of Miraflores, where we will drop off our bags and go for breakfast and a for a first impression of Peru, before check-in time. The afternoon will be free to wander the city or rest.

Accommodation: Innside by Melia Lima Miraflores or similar.

Day 3: 6th April – Start your day in Lima and end it in the coastal town of Paracas.

After a slow start to the day, where you can eat breakfast, go for a walk along the malecon or watch paragliders soaring above the ocean, we head to Paracas in the afternoon, where we check-in to our luxury accommodation and explore the small town as we prepare for a full, action-packed day 4!

Accommodation: Aranwa Paracas Resort & Spa or similar

Day 4: 7th April – Sailing the Seas, Racing the Sands

This morning we will skim across Paracas’ glassy waters on a boat, passing playful sea lions, penguins and flocks of flamingos that call the local Ballestas Islands their home. And who knows? If we get lucky, we might even get to see some dolphins!

Then in the afternoon, we move on to the desert oasis of Huacachina, where we will speed down the golden, giant dunes on a buggie, as if we were on a rollercoaster. Then for the adrenalin-junkies amongst you, hop on a sandboard and slide down the desert’s massive dunes.

End the day at a much slower pace, as you sip cocktails and talk about the most incredible of days, while watching the sun go down over the golden desert dunes!

Accommodation: Senoma Hotel or similar

Day 5: 8th April – Crossing to the Andes

After an extremely full day 4, today is all about moving to a completely different reality. We start the day in relaxed fashion, as we have breakfast and laze around the pool at our incredible oasis hotel. Then after lunch, a private pick-up will take us straight to Lima airport (4-5 hours drive), where we will be taking our short flight across south Peru, to the grand city of Cusco, where we will be staying for the next part of our trip. On arrival at the airport in Cusco, we will get transferred to our hotel, settle in and have a free evening for dinner and to get a first impression of the city.

Accommodation: Hotel Rumi Punku or similar

Day 6: 9th April – Into the Sacred Valley we go

Today we begin what will for many be the highlight of our trip to Peru! 3 days of exploring the Sacred Valley and of course, one of the 7 wonders of the world – Machu Picchu!

The day begins as we get picked up from our hotel and head straight into the Sacred Valley, stopping at the famous El Mirador view point along the way. After that, we will visit the legendary ruins of Pisac, where we will learn about Inca culture, admire the impressive agricultural terraces and haggle for bargains at the town’s bustling handicraft market. After lunch (not included), we will drive along the Urubamba River, towards the town of Ollantaytambo, where we will visit its unique Inca site and admire the rare rock formations, representing the Inca God, Wiracocha, before settling in for dinner and an early night.

Accommmodation: Parakitampu Hotel or similar

Day 7: 10th April – Hiking to Machu Picchu

Having been given a taster of Incan culture in the Sacred Valley, you are now ready to begin your hike to the main attraction! Pick up at the hotel will take place at 5:30 am and we will be transferred to the train station to ride the train along the Urubamba River, admiring snow-capped mountains and spectacular farmlands on the way. At Kilometre 104, our breathtaking trek begins (2000 metres). Please remember that this upcoming trek will be fairly challenging, but it is also the only true way to admire this world wonder! The first part of the trek lasts 3 hours and takes us to 2600 metres and the beautiful site of the Inca Trail, Wiñay Wayna (Forever Young). The backdrop of this site is a dramatic cliff drop with beautiful mountains
surrounding the area.

From Wiñay Wayna, we’ll walk on to the Sun Gate. This is where we will see the picturesque landscape of
the world famous Machu Picchu. After taking in the once-in-a-lifetime views, we’ll begin our descent to Machu Picchu.
It’s important to note, that one of the many advantages of this specific trek that we have organized, is that by the time we reach Machu Picchu the day travelers will have left. This leaves us the whole area to explore with no interruptions. After taking photos and
exploring the area, we’ll take the bus down to Aguas Calientes and head to our hotel to freshen up and after that to a restaurant for dinner (included). We recommend going to bed early to make the most of the next day.

Accommodation: 3-star hotel in Aguas Calientes or similar

Day 8: 11th April – Visit to Machupicchu – “The Lost City of the Incas”

We start another early day with a short 5-minute walk to the bus station to be among the first in line for the ascent to Machu Picchu. The first buses depart at 5:30a.m. and arrive around 6:00a.m. Our guide will lead us to the perfect spot to enjoy the sunrise over the mountains and capture incredible photos (weather permitting). Following sunrise, embark on a two-and-a-half-hour private walking tour of Machu Picchu, exploring the citadel and learning about its fascinating history.

The second part of the day, will involve a bus and train ride from Machu Picchu, to Ollantaytambo and then a transfer by private shuttle to our hotel in Cusco; tired but 100% blown away by the once-in-a-lifetime events of the last days.

Accommodation: Hotel Rumi Punku or similar

Day 9: 12th April – Free day in Cusco

After such an action-packed last few days, I’m sure you will be glad to hear that today is all about you! Eat, drink, catch up on sleep, get a massage or simply wander the cobbled streets of one of Peru’s most beautiful cities.

Accommodation: Hotel Rumi Punku or similar

Day 10: 13th April – Rainbow Mountain trek or simply more chill – the decision is yours!

For those who haven’t had enough chilling, today can be another relaxed day of taking in a walking tour in Cusco, resting up and doing some souvenir shopping.

But for those who still have energy left in their legs, there is the optional activity of trekking to one of Peru’s fastest-growing tourist attractions; Rainbow Mountain. (not included) The trek there takes between 3 and 4 hours, depending on fitness and is quite challenging, as it  involves ascending from 4300 metres to over 5000. You will of course, be accompanied by a professional guide throughout if you choose to do this! Return to Cusco will be in the afternoon, where you will arrive exhausted, but exhilarated by one of Peru’s other true wonders!

Accommodation: Hotel Rumi Punku or similar

Days 11 & 12: 14th & 15th April – And now for something completely different – welcome to Arequipa (you can thank us for bringing you here later!)

Today we take a morning flight to Arequipa, Peru’s “White City”. With its sunlit streets of white volcanic sillar stone, framed by the towering El Misti volcano, its historic center – a UNESCO World Heritage site – blending colonial architecture with Andean charm, lively plazas, and vibrant markets, Arequipa is the perfect way to unwind at the end of your trip to Peru. Beyond the city, dramatic canyons, serene monasteries, and delicious local cuisine make Arequipa a perfect mix of culture, adventure, and breathtaking scenery.

Spend your first day wandering Arequipa’s charming historic center, marveling at the white, stone architecture, visiting the Santa Catalina Monastery, and sampling local cuisine in vibrant plazas. On day two, you can choose to stay in the city, exploring museums, markets, or nearby viewpoints, taking a free (tip-based) food tour or for the more adventurous, you can take a demanding, but undeniably unforgettable day trip to Colca Canyon (not included), spotting majestic condors and soaking in breathtaking Andean landscapes.

Whatever you choose, there is little doubt that Arequipa will give you two memorable final days in Peru, before heading back to the capital.

FAQ

Is this trip for me?

This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of their age. It will be a unique experience in one of Latin America’s most fulfilling destinations! We have no doubts that if you come with a relaxed and positive  mindset, you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!

It is important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and as such, there is always an element of the unexpected. Traveling in Peru is not like staying at the Hilton in London… a lot can happen, from the water pressure in the hotel not being as good as the one in your house, to the food not being as good as your mother’s, to coming across unfamiliar animals…

But it’s good that things are different, otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth leaving home. Also, good weather is unfortunately not a guarantee in a country like Peru, as we will be moving from sea level to almost 5000 metres altitude. It can therefore be raining one minute and sunny the next…

It is also important that you know that there may be changes in the itinerary. After all, what kind of a trip would it be without some adventure?

If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you pass this information on to them. We want to make sure that everyone who comes along is aware of what to expect and that they join us with the right, adventurous mind frame that will create a healthy group dynamic!

What kind of rooms are we staying in?

We will be staying in twin rooms in 3, 4 and 5 star hotels as well as spending two nights in hotels in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu.

If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler of the same gender.

If you are traveling as a couple, rest assured that you will get your own private room together.

What if I want a single room?

Please let us know if this is something that you would like and we will try to arrange it for you if possible. All additional costs will be incurred by the client. The hotels we stay in are often booked in advance and it is therefore impossible to ensure that there are single rooms on the date you make the request.

Is international airfare provided?

Yes, Roady will arrange your return airfare from Cyprus to Peru (via Frankfurt and Madrid), with Lufthansa and Air Europa (23 kgs permitted). The package also includes domestic flights from Peru’s capital city, Lima, to Cusco, from Cusco to Arequipa and from Arequipa back to Lima.

Can I go alone?

Of course! Most of our travelers sign up individually. They go to Peru alone and come back with 10 new friends.

Who will I share my journey with?

You’ll spend the trip with our tour leader, Marcos. You’ll also spend all the days with other travelers who have many things in common with you, like a passion for traveling, for adventure, for discovery … and who are looking for new emotions and unforgettable moments on this trip. We normally have travelers from anywhere between 28 to 50 years old and we can assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you’ll end the trip with a new group of friends.

What is the exact number of travelers in the group?

It depends on the demand for that specific tour, but minimum 9 and maximum 13.

In order for this specific trip to go ahead though, we will need at least 9 people to sign up.

Is the group of travelers flying together?

Yes, as Roady will be arranging all your flights from Cyprus to Peru and back.

How do we meet at the airport?

We’ll take the data of all travelers and coordinate beforehand using WhatsApp so that we can arrange to share a ride to Larnaca airport, or to just meet there before flight departure.

Is there an age requirement?

You must be 23 years old or older. However, we try to put together a group, where we feel similar interests will be held. That is to say, similar age groups and dynamics. As a result, we personally speak to all potential travelers to make sure that they fit in with the environment that we wish to create.

Do I need to take any specific equipment?

No, no special equipment is necessary, though hiking shoes would be useful and you will also want to take a waterproof jacket in case of rain during our treks.

Will I have any time for myself?

Of course! We hate tours that book every minute of your day. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time to rest and disconnect.

Why are some of the meals not included?

We like to give you some time to be alone and seize every second of the day your own way. With that in mind, lunches will often take place  with the rest of the group, wherever we may be on that specific day, while for dinner you can go wherever you want, either as a group of alone.

What about visas?

No visas are needed for Cyprus passport holders to enter Peru.

Other passports please inquire for details. Any visa costs will be paid by the client.

Please note that all passports must have an expiry date of at least six months after your departure from Peru.

How many spots can I book at one time for the tour?

As many as you want. The maximum number of travelers is 13.

Can I save spots?

No, spots are only effectively reserved after payment.
