DAY 1 | HANOI (SUNDAY): Arrival in Hanoi, transfer to the hotel and first impressions of Vietnam!

Welcome to Vietnam! On arrival in Hanoi, we will go through customs and then get picked up by our local driver who will drive us to the hotel in our private vehicle to check- in. After such a long trip, you will have the rest of the day free to rest or explore this fascinating city.

DAY 2 | HANOI (MONDAY): Full day of exploring Vietnam’s capital.

After a well-earned rest and a full breakfast at our hotel, we will start the day with a (free, tip-based) walking tour of the old city of Hanoi. This will take us round some of those most important places in the city’s Old Quarter, such as Thang Long Citadel, Hoan Kiem Lake and Train Street.

In the afternoon you will have some free time to explore the city, go shopping, have a massage or go for a local, culinary experience in one of the old quarter’s hundreds of eateries.

In the evening, we will be going on a food tour, this time discovering some of the best cuisine this amazing country has to offer! The tour will end on the now legendary Train Street, where we you can have some beers or Vietnamese egg coffee to end your evening.

DAY 3 | HALONG BAY (TUESDAY):

On the third day of your organized trip to Vietnam, you will head to Tuan Chau port (02:30H travel time) to embark on an incredible 2-day, 1-night journey in what is for many the highlight of their Vietnam trip; Halong Bay. On the boat, you will be welcomed with a drink and enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch on board as we sail through Halong Bay, passing by magnificent and tranquil places. In the afternoon, you will also get the chance to go kayaking and swimming in the middle of Lan Ha bay, passing through fishing villages and the narrow lanes of the karst mountains. Dinner will be served on board, and the boat will anchor for the night.

During the cruise, we will have several on-board activities included for those who wish to participate:

• Join a cooking class, where the boat’s experienced chef will show you how to make some famous Vietnamese traditional dishes that you can easily demonstrate home for your family after this trip. This activity is free for those who wish to join.
• You will also have the opportunity to try your luck at squid fishing with the help of the crew. This activity is free for those who wish to join.

DAY 4 | HALONG BAY (WEDNESDAY): Ha Long Bay, return to Hanoi and overnight train to Sapa

Wake up on the boat to enjoy a unique sunrise in this most special of locations. After that, we will enjoy a light breakfast, before heading out for to Cat Ba Island, where you will get the chance to do some cycling throughout the national park (30 minutes). We will then visit a local house to get to know about the local people, before ending the tour with another 30-minute cycle through the lush rice fields, getting back to the boat with some time to relax on board before we start our return to Ha Long dock. But not before you get the chance to freshen up and have a shower, before being treated to a delicious goodbye lunch on the boat!

Once the boat returns to Tuan Chau port, we will be picked up and dropped off in a 29-seater minibus back in Hanoi, where we will get a few hours of free time in the city, before heading to the train station for the next part of our adventure; the luxury, overnight sleeper train to the majestic mountain region of Sapa in north Vietnam. Please note that we will be staying in cabins of 4 travelers (2 bunk beds) for the train ride.

DAY 5 | SAPA (THURSDAY):

Upon arrival in Sapa at early morning, a private vehicle will pick us up at the train station and lead us to the centre of Sapa city, where we will have a chance to drop off our luggage at the hotel (check-in not till 14:00), have breakfast and then ride the world’s longest cable car up the famous Fansipan Mountain. We will return to the hotel at lunch time to check-in and the afternoon will then be free for you to enjoy Sapa town or our hotel’s 5-star luxury facilities.

DAY 6 |SAPA TO HANOI (FRIDAY):

Our second day in Sapa will be far more active than the first, as after breakfast at our hotel, we will get picked up by private vehicle and taken on a day tour through some of Sapa’s most wonderful, neighbouring villages. You do not need to be overly athletic to do this, but please note that pick-up is at 9 am and we will only return to the hotel at around 3 pm, though this also includes an hour’s break for lunch (included in the package).

The evening is yours to rest, relax, shop or do whatever you please.

DAY 7 | HOI AN (SATURDAY): Travel day from Sapa to Hanoi airport for flight to Hoi An

We hope you got a good night’s sleep as day 7 of your trip is primarily a travel day. A private vehicle will pick us up from Sapa after breakfast and drive us straight to Hanoi Airport, 4 hours away. From there, we will board a one-hour flight to Da Nang, in Central Vietnam, and from there a private vehicle will take us some 45 minutes away, to our beautiful hotel in neighboring Hoi An, where we will be spending the next 3 nights.

DAY 8 | HOI AN (SUNDAY):

Today is a free day to explore one of Vietnam’s favorite cities. Eat, drink, get a massage or simply ride your bike and relax in one of the beautiful cafes scattered around the cities surrounding rice fields.

DAY 9 | HOI AN (MONDAY):

Although classified as an optional experience, due to the fact that not everyone will necessarily feel comfortable to join in, we strongly recommend joining us and our Easyrider brothers, in being given a ride by our professional and experienced biker partners, along one of Southeast Asia’s most famous and gorgeous roads; the Hai Van Pass.

The ride will start after breakfast and will take us through villages, waterfalls and lush, green landscape. It will take up most of the day, but what a memorable day it promises to be. Cost is 65 euros per person, including lunch and we will all ride together and get dropped off at our accommodation late in the afternoon, tired but exhilarated.

For those who would rather not join in the activity, you will have another free day to enjoy Hoi An, though we can also offer you other day excursion options to spend the day, such as visiting the nearby ruins of My Son.

DAY 10 | HANOI (TUESDAY): HOI AN, GOLDEN BRIDGE (optional) AND RETURN TO HANOI

Bid farewell to Hoi An as we grab our short return flight back to Hanoi. But before that, the morning will be free for shopping and a last walk around this beautiful city, while for those who prefer, a visit to the famous hand-shaped Golden Bridge can be arranged instead, before private drop-off at the airport.

DAY 11 | HANOI (TUESDAY):

During your final day in Hanoi, you can visit one of the cities many famous museums or landmarks, hang out at a local café, have some free time for shopping and spoil yourself one last time with a massage or a final excursion around the capital. We depart for Hanoi Airport at around 21:00 in the evening.

Is this trip for me?

This trip is for people who like to have fun and make friends, regardless of their age. It will be a unique experience in one of Southeast Asia’s most fulfilling destinations! We have no doubts that if you come with a relaxed and positive  mindset, you’ll have the trip of a lifetime!

It is important to understand that this is an adventure trip, and as such, there is always an element of the unexpected. Traveling in Vietnam is not like staying at the Hilton in London… a lot can happen, from the water pressure in the hotel not being as good as the one in your house, to the food not being as good as your mother’s, to coming across unfamiliar animals…

But it’s good that things are different, otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth leaving home. Also, good weather is unfortunately not a guarantee in a tropical climate like Vietnam’s. It can be raining one minute and sunny the next…

It is also important that you know that there may be changes in the itinerary. After all, what kind of a trip would it be without some adventure?

If you invite a friend to come on the tour, it is essential that you pass this information on to them. We want to make sure that everyone who comes along is aware of what to expect and that they join us with the right, adventurous mind frame that will create a healthy group dynamic!

What kind of rooms are we staying in?

We will be staying in twin rooms in 4 and 5 star hotels, as well as spending one night on a luxury boat on Ha Long Bay (twin room cabin with private bathroom) and one in a luxury train cabin on the overnight train from Hanoi to Sapa (4 people per cabin with comfortable beds).

If you are traveling alone, you will be paired with another traveler of the same gender.

If you are traveling as a couple, rest assured that you will get your own private room together.

What if I want a single room?

Please let us know if this is something that you would like and we will try to arrange it for you if possible. All additional costs will be incurred by the client. The hotels we stay in are often booked in advance and it is therefore impossible to ensure that there are single rooms on the date you make the request.

Is international airfare provided?

Yes, Roady will arrange your return airfare from Cyprus to Vietnam (via Dubai), with Emirates (30 kgs permitted). The package also includes return flights from Vietnam’s capital city, Hanoi, to Da Nang in Central Vietnam (20 kgs permitted, though it is possible to add more checked-in luggage for an extra cost if you require).

Can I go alone?

Of course! Most of our travelers sign up individually. They go to Vietnam alone and come back with 10 new friends.

Who will I share my journey with?

You’ll spend the trip with our tour leader, Tatiana. You’ll also spend all the days with other travelers who have many things in common with you, like a passion for traveling, for adventure, for discovery … and who are looking for new emotions and unforgettable moments on this trip. We normally have travelers from anywhere between 28 to 50 years old and we can assure you that the atmosphere is very fun and that you’ll end the trip with a new group of friends.

What is the exact number of travelers in the group?

It depends on the demand for that specific tour, but minimum 9 and maximum 13.

Is the group of travelers flying together?

Yes, as Roady will be arranging all your flights from Cyprus to Vietnam and back. 

How do we meet at the airport?

We’ll take the data of all travelers and coordinate beforehand using WhatsApp so that we can arrange to share a ride to Larnaca airport, or to just meet there before flight departure. 

Is there an age requirement?

You must be 23 years old or older. However, we try to put together a group, where we feel similar interests will be held. That is to say, similar age groups and dynamics. As a result, we personally speak to all potential travelers to make sure that they fit in with the environment that we wish to create.

Do I need to take any specific equipment?

No, no special equipment is necessary, though hiking shoes would be useful and you will also want to take a waterproof jacket in case of rain during our treks.

Will I have any time for myself?

Of course! We hate tours that book every minute of your day. Our tour will be busy, but there will also be plenty of time to rest and disconnect.

Why are some of the meals not included?

We like to give you some time to be alone and seize every second of the day your own way. With that in mind, lunches will often take place  with the rest of the group, wherever we may be on that specific day, while for dinner you can go wherever you want, either as a group of alone.

What about visas?

Visas are needed for Cyprus passport holders. The price for this is around 25 euros and is not included in the package, though Roady can assist you with applying for a visa if you please.

How many spots can I book at one time for the tour?

As many as you want. The maximum number of travelers is 13.

Can I save spots?

No, spots are only effectively reserved after payment.
